Major Wins At Game Republic Student Showcase 2020 (GamesCast 014)

Game Republic Student Showcase 2020 took place on Tuesday 26th May – we are extremely proud to report that our students did amazingly well yet again.

Our students won:

First Prizes! (3/5)

First prizes for Best Game Design (4th year running) and Best Team (6th year running!) goes to:

  • Wibble Wabble Wobble – Team Spaghetto
    • Art / Design – David Lambert, Joe Taylor, Jason Morley, Bradley Lagota
    • Programming – Lewis Scrivens, Mark Booth, Sonny Blyth

The Game Republic Student Showcase competition has been running since 2009 initially being a regional competition for Yorkshire and Humberside it has expanded over the years to encompass much of the North. Entries came in from as far afield as Staffordshire, Sunderland and Hull, making it the most geographically diverse competition that Game Republic has yet hosted.

We even spared some time from the regular weekly blog to discuss the wonderful results with some of the winners…
